The waterfalls of the Vosges to discover from the campsite.
The Vosges mountains are full of waterfalls to discover from our Montagne des Vosges campsite near Gérardmer. Between easy family walks and more challenging trails, here is a glimpse of the most beautiful waterfalls accessible from our campsite, in the heart of the Hautes Vosges.

The Grande Cascade de Tendon.

With its 32-meter height spread over three successive levels, the Grande Cascade de Tendon is the highest waterfall in the Vosges. Fed by the Scouet stream, it can be discovered at the end of a walk accessible to all, via a marked trail connecting the two waterfalls. A must-see for families looking for an easy and refreshing change of scenery in nature.

The Petite Cascade de Tendon.
Located about 1.5 km downstream from its big sister, the Petite Cascade de Tendon (about 5 to 7 meters high) offers a more intimate setting, bordered by mossy rocks. Allow about thirty minutes to walk between the two waterfalls via a 2 km marked trail. A short and refreshing stroll in the heart of the Vosges forest.

The Retournemer Waterfall.

Accessible from the village of Haut du Tôt in about twenty minutes of walking through the forest, the Retournemer Waterfall is fed by the Blancfaing stream. Its fall, which slides over dark rock, is not a straight drop, but its small wooden bridges and the peaceful atmosphere of the undergrowth are worth the trip alone for hiking enthusiasts looking for new viewpoints in the Hautes Vosges.

The Saut des Cuves.
Located between Gérardmer and Xonrupt-Longemer, the Saut des Cuves charms visitors with its rock formations and its famous Pont d’Amour, a stone footbridge overlooking the Vologne. Allow 30 minutes to 1 hour for this easy and shaded walk, dotted with footbridges, ideal for a family outing just a few kilometers from the campsite.

The Bouchot waterfall, a hidden treasure of the Vosges.

Just a few minutes from our Montagne des Vosges campsite, the Bouchot waterfall is a beautiful discovery for nature lovers. Nestled in the heart of the Vosges forest, this ten-meter waterfall offers a peaceful and refreshing setting, ideal for a short family walk or a break during a hike.
Access is easy via a shaded path, reaching the waterfall in just a few minutes. Once there, the sound of the water, the moss-covered rocks, and the lush vegetation create an authentic atmosphere, typical of the Vosges landscapes.
You can also extend your outing by taking the hiking trails that cross the Bouchot valley and offer beautiful views of the surrounding forests.
